Florida Department of Law Enforcement

Mission: To promote public safety and strengthen domestic security by providing services in partnership with local, state, and federal criminal justice agencies to prevent, investigate, and solve crimes while protecting Florida’s citizens and visitors. The Pensacola region primarily serves the 10 westernmost counties in Florida including six military bases, thousands of acres of woods and 140 miles of coastline. Special agents and analysts work a variety of criminal investigations focusing on violent crime, economic crime, organized crime, missing children and public integrity. The Pensacola Crime Lab processes evidence for local law enforcement in the areas of Biology, Seized Drugs, Friction Ridge, and Document Examination.
