Irene H. Ludwig, M.D.

Dr. Irene H. Ludwig earned her M.D. degree from Weill Cornell Medical College in 1979. She served as a resident in ophthalmology at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio. Following two years of research at the National Eye Institute in Bethesda, Maryland, Dr. Ludwig accepted a fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology at The Children’s National Hospital of Washington, D.C. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology, a respected lecturer at scientific meetings and a published author of numerous ophthalmological papers. She has been the Pediatric Director of Ophthalmology and Strabismus at Eye Center South since 1991.
